I had a amazing time at Sonia and Fabio’s wedding. Sonia is a sweet and considerate girl who appreciates beauty in a lot of things. Fabio is a super cool person to hang out with, he treats everyone like a brother to him. Together, they make the cutest couple. It was also very heart warming to see all their friends and family were dancing so romantically with their partners and caring for each other.
A lifestyle portrait session with Audrey, who’s a talented actress from Montreal. Audrey is super friendly and full of positive energy. I had never seen her on set(filming), but I’m sure she’s definitely someone who brings positive morale to any team and project.
Thanks to Melanie and Michael, I had another amazing experience to the tropical, Costa Rica (Yes, right after Mexico). Even though this was taken place in February, I heard it’s the warmest time of the year in Costa Rica. The temperature was 40+ degrees Celsius around noon, therefore this was probably the “Hottest” wedding I’ve ever photographed. Michael and Melanie also invited me to enjoy all the facilities with their friends at the resort for some steams and hot tub etc. It’s so relaxing, too relaxing that I almost forgot I was supposed to photograph a wedding. Thanks again to Melanie and Mike for having me there. I had a super warm February this year.
I spent an amazing week in Mexico Cancun with Sanli and Derek and their crazily fun friends and families. This was the first wedding that I could name all the guests and every single one of them was just super friendly and so much fun to be around with, I got do a lot things with them including visiting a Mayan village, climbing pyramids, EATING, EATING and EATING (and a bit of drinking). What about Cancun? It’s such a beautiful place with the most vibrant beach I’d ever seen, coupled with the comfortable weather, it’s virtually forcing me to lie down and relax. Sanli is always confident and super easygoing. I haven’t travelled a lot throughout my life, but Sanli really made me feel like everything about travelling is easy. Derek, I always had the impression of him as a very serious man, but in the morning of his big day, his excitement was very genuine and visible almost like a different person. It was an awesome trip coming back with warm smiles and new friends…..and some body fat. Thanks again to Sanli and Derek for bringing me down to escape the harsh winter in Toronto.
Another winter engagement session, this time with Christine and Vick, who are no doubt one of the funniest couples I’ve encountered. They had so much energy playing around that makes me feel like I’m becoming old. The whole time I felt like I could write a great romantic sitcom script by recording their conversation during the session. Continue reading »
I feel glad that I get to photograph weddings in all different seasons, Maria and Stephen’s wedding was another winter wedding. Their wedding was decided in a sudden but it felt like everyone was more than ready to join the two happiest families together, and of course, everyone just couldn’t wait to welcome their baby to this world. Once again, congratulation to Maria and Stephen!
Yi Fang and Yi Fan are very sentimental and romantic people. They have travelled to many corners around the world together and preserved every bit of their memories into various forms from little crafts to photos and videos. During the reception, they prepared a very sweet slideshow/animation/video showing the journey they both had come across together, as well as footage of blessings from their friends in China, and I was able to capture some moments of everyone enjoying footage. Once again, congratulation to YiFang and YiFan.
Melanie and Michael have spent a lot of time snowboarding together on the Blue Mountain, thus they came up with this idea of having their engagement photos taken there for the sentimental value that the place holds for them. I always like ideas or themes that could define the couples. We spent a little time in the village and then headed to Craigleith Resort right beside the Blue Mountain to take some action shots. Christine and Dom were married on the very first day of 2014. It was a small yet very intimate wedding which took place at the Trump Hotel downtown Toronto. Christine and Dom were super kind to me and made me feel like everything in 2014 is going to be full of awesomeness!
Alvia and Shihab were married and celebrating around the globe starting from Bangladesh, Toronto was their last stop. During the reception they had a video showing tons of fun memories from all their celebrations before this one, I thought it was such a wonderful thing to have a lively bunch of friends and family to celebrate everywhere around the world. Even though it was a short time working with Alvia and Shihab, they were super friendly and welcoming to me. Once again, congratulation to Alvia and Shihab!
