tn_shulin&stephen_00One of the many perks about being a photographer is that I get to meet a lot of very nice people and I am super thankful to meeting some of the kindest people like Shulin and Stephen in my photography career. Shulin and Stephen got married in Hong Kong, but they wanted to have another celebration here with their friends/family in Canada, and I was lucky enough to be part of it. Before the reception, we headed to Richmond Green for  a small portrait session. It was rainy and freezing that day yet they were more worried about me getting cold. They were both super nice and considerate, making me feel like I was one of their guests/friends all day. I’m so glad that our paths have crossed and sure hope our paths will cross again. A special thanks to Sharp Fluff Photography for the referral.

tn_leanne_01-1This winter has been kind of extreme! But here is a winter portrait session I did for Leanne, who’s very energetic throughout the session. She is also a talented actress, model and dancer from Saskatchewan and recently came to Toronto to pursuit her career in the entertaining industry. We aimed to get some simple and clean portrait photos for her agency.

tn_c&r_00Courtney and Rayfield’s wedding was super lovely! It always makes me happy to see everyone having tons of fun. It was a wedding where everyone was well connected and it felt like a huge family. From moment to moment, you can easily tell Courtney is a very sweet girl who loves her family so much. Rayfield, he really knows how to have fun and be sentimental at the same time. And their son Cairo, who’s ultra cute and wanted to be his father’s best man more than anyone else even though he wasn’t old enough. All in all, it was a great evening spent with this beautiful family. Once again, congratulation to Courtney and Rayfield. A special thanks to Alfred C for helping out as second shooter.

tn_ss_20131020-DSC_7626Another lovely afternoon was spent at High Park with Susan and Simon for their engagement session. Simon is a very care-free person who prefers minimalist. Susan was always very enthusiastic throughout the session, trying out all the ideas she could think of and very fun to work with. The two of them together is just very cute and adorable. Similar to my other couples, they’d like to have some fall colours in their photos and these colours are just naturally beautiful in the cameras!

tn_t&l_00Guess what? Daniel and Iulia, and myself, we all went to the same high school except they were a year or two ahead of me. It brings me back a lot of memories thinking about the courses Daniel and I took together, trigonometry, physics, chemistry and biology in high school. All those times of joking around in classes, copying his notes and constantly asking him for help for the questions I couldn’t solve. Iulia was Daniel’s high school sweetheart and they’ve been together ever since. I didn’t know Iulia back in high school, but a few years later when Daniel introduced her as his fiance, I couldn’t be anymore excited about meeting her.  Earlier this year we talked about having their engagement session during the fall season, and here we have it at High Park. Even though it was raining heavily on the day, I love it when they went all the way out to get wet for creativity in such weather, it’s almost like the famous scene from the movie “The Notebook”. (PS.Daniel is also a talented drummer from 8oz soul!)

tn_t&l_00Asian weddings can sometime become hectic with countless of events taking place in one day, but it’s also very eventful so it’s always fun for us to photograph, and at the end of the day we would all carry a smile on our face just thinking it back. Thuy and Luong’s wedding was no exception and was my first wedding I’ve photographed in Hamilton. Thuy is always very sweet who’s constantly thinking about others and treats everyone like a good friend of hers. I still remember how Thuy got a bit upset when we didn’t get a chance to have a dinner together after their engagement session. And for Luong, he really knows how to relax and always carries a smile on his face. Once again, congratulation to Thuy and Luong A special thanks to Phinam Dang for helping out as second shooter.

Victoria's 1st BirthdayMeet Victoria! One baby who’s beyond adorable and super easy to make her smile. All you need to do is clap! Then she will clap with you, very happily. And the theme is….Lady Bug! (I think it’s pretty obvious). I had seen Victoria’s a couple of times at Joseph’s baptism and birthday party, but this was my first time photographing her as the main focus of the story. Needless to say, kid’s growth is pretty incredible.

tn_l&r_08I spent a wonderful time with Larissa and Randy on Thanksgiving for their engagement session.  We spent first half of the session at the park where Randy had proposed to Larissa, which was very relaxing with beautiful autumn colours. After that we went to the CNE ground for some historical looking buildings. Surprisingly, I had never actually been to the area without CNE going on there, it’s nice and spacious and not crowded at all. Larissa and Randy also changed their outfits to have a little Shanghai theme . All in all, super easygoing couple and great spots they picked! A special thanks to Jeffrey Casareno for assisting.

Kate & Graham | Wedding | Berkeley Field HouseKate and Graham are simply adorable together and one of the kindest people I have met. Neither of the two likes to be in the centre of attention, their celebration was simple yet very pure and heartfelt. Graham is a timid and honest person. Kate is someone who enjoys life, I could hear her unique laugh literally almost every minute even when I was working in a different room. Once again, congratulation to Kate and Graham!

One of the many things I’m pretty happy about my job is that I get to explore different places when I work. Shops at Don Mills for example, I had passed by this area so many times but I had never really taken a walk inside the area. Plus, I love it when couples have ideas or themes for their photoshoots. Melanie and Michael picked this great spot for their more modern-look engagement session. They are surely easygoing and open to creativity.
